Ako domáci prostriedok proti nočnému poteniu a poteniu všeobecne sa už dávno preslávila šalvia.
Najhodnotnejší prostriedok proti poteniu je táto čajová zmes:
20g šalvie, alchemilky a prasličky sa zaparí, nechá sa krátko lúhovať a dlhší čas sa pije jedna šálka pred raňajkami, bylinky posilnia celý organizmus a tým odstránia aj nočné potenie.
Na potenie nôh sa používa dub letný. Odvar spravíme tak, že 50g dubovej kôry varíme 15 min. v 1l vody, ihneď sa precedí a zriedi studenou vodou na znesiteľnú teplotu a v tomto kúpeli si kúpu nohy každý večer.
